Chained to You

Straight from Savage Garden... "I love this song about obsessive love. It's very real and exactly what it appears to be. There's a nightclub, there's a Madonna song playing on the dancefloor, there's a kiss, and it's all over. It's intentionally retro, with claps, drums, a big 80's guitar solo and throbbing keyboards."
-Darren Hayes
"We were thinking very 80's pop when we did the whole synth line and guitar thing you hear in this song. We wanted to make a statement with that. For awhile the song was souding really ridiculous -- totally cheesy -- but after we added drums and sped it up a bit, it tended to rock more than crackle. It's a really fun song."
-Daniel Jones

Avoid Those Embarrassing Misheard Lyric Moments we were standing all alone you were leaning in to speak to me / acting like a mover shaker dancing to Madonna then you kissed me / and I think about it all the time / sweet temptatation rush all over me / and I think about it all the time / passion desire so intense I can't take anymore because
-->chorus: I feel the magic all around you / it's bringing me to my knees / like a wannabe / I've got to be chained to you
and when you looked into my eyes felt a sudden sense of urgency / fascination casts a spell and you become more than just a mystery / and I think about you all the time / is this fate is it my destiny / that I think about you all the time / I no longer pretend to have my hand on the wheel because
-->chorus
I feel the magic building around you
-->chorus
and I think about it all the time / and I think about it all the time / tell me it's madness I barely know you / we were standing all alone you were leaning in to speak to me / ten steps back you're still a mystery / acting like a mover shaker dancing to Madonna then you kissed me / I can't take anymore because
-->chorus
I feel the magic building around you
-->chorus
tell me it's madness / I barely know you
Video Eye Candy International version

Release Year: 2000
This video isn't really even a video... all it is, is the live footage from Superstars and Cannonballs. They released this song in Australia before anywhere else and didn't have time to film a video, so they used this clip. SG planned to film a real video for the American release, but their record company decided not to release the song or film a video for it.
